2027 Tuition at TVRC
We recognize that camp is a significant investment for each family and are grateful to have a community that values the opportunities for growth and adventure provided fostered at TVRC. Every summer at TVRC costs more than Standard Tuition alone. The true cost to deliver our unique western adventure experience is approximately $12,000 per camper.
Standard Tuition for the 2027 season is $9,250, which covers roughly 80% of the cost of the TVRC experience. The remaining 20% has been carried by the generous support of the Annual Fund and Scholarship Endowment from parents, alumni, and friends of TVRC, and by the Endowment built by the generations who came before us. Beginning with the 2027 season, we are sharing this math openly and giving families a choice in how they enroll.
True Cost, $12,000: This tuition most accurately reflects the complete cost of a camper’s summer. The difference between True Cost and Standard Tuition will be reflected as a $2,750 tax-deductible contribution to the TVRC Education Foundation for families who enroll at this tuition level.
Shared Cost, $10,625: This tuition meets us halfway between board-approved Standard Tuition and the true cost of a camper’s summer. The difference between Shared Cost and Standard Tuition will be reflected as a $1,375 tax-deductible contribution to the TVRC Education Foundation for families who enroll at this tuition level.
Standard Tuition, $9,250: This is our published tuition rate and the standard way to enroll. It requires no additional application or explanation and is made possible through support from our Annual Fund and Endowment.
Families should select the tuition level that best suits their household during the enrollment process, while recognizing the investment you are making in your camper and TVRC. The spirit of multiple tuition levels is to provide an opportunity for families who are passionate about the TVRC experience to more fully support our program, our campers, and our staff and join us in securing a sustainable future for camp.
The level you choose is private, has no bearing on your camper’s experience, and is entirely up to you. Contributions above Standard Tuition are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and every contributing family receives a written acknowledgment.
Need-based financial aid is available to any family for whom Standard Tuition feels out of reach. It is an individualized process that begins with submitting a financial aid application before February 15, and it has not changed from previous years.

Tuition FAQs
To ensure our families can focus entirely on the experience, TVRC tuition is all-inclusive. Aside from personal gear and travel, everything your camper needs to summit peaks and build lifelong friendships is provided. At TVRC, we aren’t just a summer camp; we are a defining life experience in the heart of the American West.
Yes. Standard Tuition is full tuition for a TVRC season. Choosing it requires nothing further from you. The higher levels are voluntary contributions and nothing about your camper’s summer depends on which one you choose.
Only select members of the full-time director team. Your choice is never shared with program staff and has no effect on your camper’s summer.
Yes. Standard Tuition is the published price of a TVRC session. Any amount you pay above it is a voluntary contribution to TVRC Education Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We will send a written acknowledgment for your records after your full payment is received.
TVRC has always worked to keep tuition within reach for our families. Our remote location and a decade of rising costs have meant that tuition alone no longer covers what a summer at the Ranch actually costs, and the difference has been carried by donors and by the endowment.
Rather than raise tuition for every family to close that gap, we are showing the real number and letting each family decide how they enroll. Families who can contribute more help us moderate future tuition increases. Whichever level a family chooses, the camper’s summer is the same. Over time, the result is a stronger program and greater access to TVRC for campers who could not otherwise attend.
Yes, there are many ways to have a positive impact on the TVRC experience through giving. Please explore our Ways to Give or contact .

Need-based financial aid is available via financial aid application, which due on February 15. Reach out to for information on the process and relavant dates.
